All barrel blanks are 416R Stainless Steel and feature proprietary 6-groove 10-X cut rifling process. Blanks are offered in multiple contours, from a lightweight sporter configuration to a large straight taper, and everything in between. Any common twist rate is available in any contour. They are available in both fluted or non-fluted configurations.
Stocky's take: Choose from a lightweight hunting profile all the way up to heavy tactical and target profiles.
- For lightweight hunting choose the light sporter. Most hunters wil favor the standard Sporter.
- African hunters and other big-bore shooters, or if you want just a bit more weight for stability, you will like the Pro Hunter taper (I shoot one on my pet .375 Ruger.)
- The Varmint taper is great for long range hunting, varmint as well as for lighter tactical builds and closely follows the factory Rem Sendero taper.
- The famous M24 taper may be the most popular barrel in the world for LE, military, target and other long-range shooters.
- The Straight full-bull is a 1.200" cylinder, no taper.
These barrels are blanks and will need to be threaded, crowned, and chambered to your specifications.
