This stock is for the Tikka T3/T3X right handed. It is inlet for the factory sporter barrel. It is in the Carbon Midnight finish. There are some minor cosmetic issues which is why it is being discounted.
Our new TIKKA Hunter is a vertical grip Ultra Carbon hand laminated sporting riflestock. Weighing in at just 650 grams (23 ounces) it is the lightest, handiest hunting and target stock in our popular vertical grip design for the demanding Tikka rifleman.
For your information, we are rolling out several versions of each stock - a mini, a midi and a full-size. These stocks will be available in both vertical grip (a slightly modified VG2 actually) and hunting / sporter (same back-end as Stocky's hunter, appropriately modified forend) configurations. We then identify the lightest stock appropriate for each chosen receiver (Rem, Tikka, Savage, etc.) and there you go.
Stocky's Take: We fit the Tikka models very tightly, there is literally no slop. When you first set in your barreled action into place that is probably the first thing you will notice. Because the recoil lug is seperate from the receiver, getting it seated correctly is of primary importance. With your recoil lug bottomed in the stock, you must have at least about 0.070" protruding into the receiver slot to be considered acceptable. Ideal is 0.800" to 0.900".
